This Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide and walkthrough covers everything you need to know to make your way through the ruins of Hyrule. Breath of the Wild Quick Tips

• Don’t let your stamina completely run out or you can’t do anything that requires stamina until it’s completely replenished.
• Watch for sparkles on the ground that indicate there’s an item to be found.
• Hit an enemy in the head with and arrow for double the damage.
• If you hit an enemy from behind it increases your damage output.
• Perform a Perfect Dodge by evading a horizontal attack by pressing X and back, or vertical attack with X and left or right at the last moment.
• To perform Perfect Guard, equip a shield and press A just as you’re about to get hit to deflect the attack and get an oppotunity to counterattack.
• Watch the temperature gauge so you know when you need to equip cold weather gear or light a fire.
• Turn “Aim with motion controls” off if you don’t want to play with motion controls.
• Different enemies come out at night, so you may want stop at a camp fire and rest until morning.
• Throwing a weapon inflicts double the damage, but wait until your weapon is almost broken before you throw it.
• During a lightning storm, remove all metal equipment to avoid getting hit with a lightning strike.
• Swimming costs stamina and if you run out you will drown, so don’t swim out too far.
• When buying items from shops, simply walk up to the item and purchase it. You don’t need to speak to the shop owner.
• Any NPC with an exclamation point by their dialogue box as you approach will offer a quest if you speak to them.
• You can eat food while in the middle of climbing, meaning you can eat something that replenishes stamina to extend your climb.
• If you can catch a fairy and keep it in your inventory, when Link dies he will instantly come back to life with a few hearts to spare.
